The benefits of membership are mostly fraternal, associating with other submarine veterans through meetings and events. There are three ‘pillars’ of the organization, which include “Remembrance” of our departed submarine shipmates and the sacrifices they made in the name of freedom; “Comradeship” and fraternal association with other submarine veterans like ourselves; and Benevolence and good works through our SUBVETS s Charitable Foundation. Although we prefer to think in terms of what we can do to further our Creed, there are a few items that all members receive, such as the quarterly American Submariner magazine, a USSVI logo decal and membership cards.
